Who We Are:

Paterna Biosciences is an innovative start-up company located in Salt Lake City, UT. We have collaborations and partnership with several major academic institutions and the most prominent clinical leader in reproductive medicine, IVI-RMA Global Inc. Our mission is to make infertile men fathers by empowering them to take control of their fertility challenges. Our team develops cutting-edge cell culture, genomics and bioinformatics technologies – to restore male fertility through the culturing of male germline stem cells, and the production of functional male gametes for clinical in-vitro fertilization.

How You Will Make an Impact:

You will have the opportunity to come in on the ground floor of a unique, industry-first biosciences company, with laboratories located in West Valley, UT. We are seeking laboratory scientists to help realize our mission and goals. You will perform (after specific training) under minimal supervision both standard and new innovative laboratory techniques and skills. Individuals passionate about cell culture development for molecular and genomics innovation are preferred. You will work in a team led by our Scientific Manager, guided by prominent co-founders and academic science advisors. What You Will Do：

1. Experimental specimen transportation, dissection, storage, and organization
2. Primary human cell/tissue culture
3. Stem cell and somatic cell isolation
4. Flow cytometry
5. Protein analysis, including histological staining, immunofluorescence, and other approaches
6. Cell imaging
7. RT-PCR
8. General lab maintenance and organization
9. Collaboration and communication with teammates and managers to share ideas, report work progress and presentation of data at regular intervals in group meetings
10. Train for your advancement within our organization.

How You Will Join Us:

1. BS or MS in cell or molecular biology (or a related area) is required.
2. 3-5yrs of laboratory experience strongly preferred.
3. Strong Interest in developing new techniques and scientific achievement.
4. Ability to work with limited supervision.
5. Flexible schedule.
6. Demonstrated effective human relations and effective communication skills.
